This is a great solution if you have a housekeeper, contractor or kids that come home after school. Keyless entry eliminates issues of lost keys or workers failing to return them. You definitely don’t want extra keys floating around out there. You can change the PIN when the work is completed or the person no longer needs access to your home.

If you use locks with Zwave technology you can connect the door locks to your alarm system. Basically this allows you to lock and unlock the doors remotely from your alarm app. It can also set up alerts when someone locks or unlocks them. This way you can get notified when your child gets home from school or at curfew!

More sophisticated access control systems even allow you to use an app on your phone to open the door without having to enter a pin on a keypad. This can also be done remotely if you have a house guest or pet sitter arriving when you are not home and you want to let them in.
